Position Overview
A well-established, research-driven financial services firm is seeking a Research Analyst to join its sell-side equity research platform. This role offers exposure to institutional-quality research, financial modeling, and capital markets analysis in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytically rigorous, and comfortable working with financial data, valuation models, and written research. This role provides a strong foundation for a long-term career in equity research and capital markets.
Key Responsibilities
Equity Research & Analysis
- Support senior analysts in the preparation of sell-side equity research reports, including initiation, updates, and thematic research.
- Perform financial valuation and modeling, including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
- Analyze company financial statements, earnings releases, and industry trends.
- Conduct market, sector, and company-specific research to support investment theses.
Data, Tools & Market Intelligence
- Utilize market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, or similar) to gather and analyze financial and market data.
- Maintain and update financial models, valuation frameworks, and research databases.
- Monitor macroeconomic, industry, and company-specific developments relevant to covered sectors.
Written Research & Communication
- Assist in drafting and editing research notes, reports, and client-facing commentary.
- Clearly articulate investment ideas, risks, and conclusions in written form.
- Contribute to earnings previews, earnings recaps, and thematic research pieces.
Licensing & Professional Development
- Maintain active SIE and Series 63 registrations (required).
- Candidates will be expected to prepare for, take, and pass the Series 86 and 87 exams within a defined timeframe after hire.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development aligned with sell-side research standards.
Interview & Assessment Process
- Multiple rounds of virtual and onsite interviews
- Completion of a project-based research summary test as part of the evaluation process

- Anticipated start date: February 16 – March 2, 2026
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Active SIE and Series 63 licenses (required).
- Prior experience or exposure to:
- Equity research, investment banking, asset management, or financial analysis
- Financial valuation and modeling
- Market data platforms
- Strong Excel skills (financial modeling, analysis, data manipulation).
- Excellent writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Compensation
- Base Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 (commensurate with experience)
