A well-established financial services firm in the New York City Financial District is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing team. • Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages 
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes 
• Work closely with senior accounting staff on regulatory reporting and compliance-related tasks 
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and perform account reconciliations 
• Assist with audit requests and documentation preparation 
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends 
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and compliance teams 
• 
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• Financial services experience required (broker-dealer, investment firm, or similar environment preferred) 
• 1–4+ years of accounting experience 
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred) 
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems 
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills 
• Motivated, career-driven, and eager to grow within financial services 
• 
  

• Exposure to broker-dealer accounting or regulatory environments 
• Experience working with audits or financial reporting cycles 
• Interest in pursuing advanced certifications (CPA, Series licenses, etc.)
